Warranties on Furniture

Smitty's Furniture warrants all furniture, used in residential settings and located within our regular delivery area, against manufacturing defects for one year, covering parts and labour. Professional repair, replacement, or refund is at the discretion of Smitty's Furniture.

Manufacturer specifications and quality standards may vary. We honour manufacturers' warranties that extend beyond one year and will repair, replace, or refund products as directed by the manufacturer.

After one year, service calls and transportation of the product (if required) will be subject to charges determined by our Service Department.

For products manufactured outside Ontario, Smitty's reserves the right to repair the product rather than accept it for return.

Furniture sold through The Unloading Dock, Warehouse Sale, or any Clearance Centre include a 90-day parts and labour warranty against manufacturing defects.

Exclusions on Furniture Warranty

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, everyday soiling, fading, fabric pilling, or damage resulting from negligence, misuse, accidents, or transportation by the customer.

Products located outside our regular delivery area must be returned by the customer to the nearest Smitty's showroom or our warehouse for warranty service.

Customers acknowledge that Smitty's Furniture offers an extended furniture protection plan through a third-party provider to protect their purchase beyond the manufacturer's warranty and may choose to accept or decline this coverage.

Products sold "As Is" or marked "Final Sale" are not covered by any warranty.

Warranties on Appliances & Outdoor Appliances

Most large appliances include a one-year manufacturer's warranty covering parts and labour. Small appliances typically include a warranty of up to 90 days unless otherwise specified. Outdoor appliances may carry longer manufacturer warranty periods.

Warranty claims for appliances, including outdoor appliances, must be made directly with the manufacturer.

Customers acknowledge that Smitty's Furniture offers extended warranty plans for major appliances, providing coverage for up to a total of five years, and may choose to accept or decline this coverage.
